The Finale! We have finally reached the time that it comes to a close! This article will conclude the "FFA Opportunities" series! If you liked this series, or would like to have more series in the future, let me know here!

Speaking Events

-Conduct of Chapter Meetings (CCM): This LDE for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade members only introduces the methods of parliamentary procedure. In your team of 7, you will go through Opening Ceremonies, complete orders of business with required motions, and numbers of debate, Closing Ceremonies, and then will answer questions based off of your demonstration. In addition, there is an individual exam over the duties of each officer, how to run a meeting room, and parliamentary procedure.

-Creed Speaking: In this freshman-only LDE contest, you recite "The FFA Creed" by E.M. Tiffany, and then answer questions based on your thoughts and feelings about the creed and questions about the history of the FFA, the FFA Creed and E.M. Tiffany.

-Extemporaneous Public Speaking: Within the LDE, there will be 18 agricultural topics and you will draw 3, randomly. Based on the 3 choices you have, you will select one and write a 4-6 minute speech with 30 minutes and 5 resources to prepare. After your speech is complete, you will answer 5 minutes of questions on the topic you presented on.

-Parliamentary Procedure (Parli. Pro): In this LDE, you will compete in a team of 6. Essentially, this is leveled-up CCM. The differences between CCM and Parli Pro, is in Parli Pro is no Opening or Closing Ceremonies, there are more motions and the questions become more difficult, and there is no written exam in this contest, as opposed to CCM. You have 9-11 minutes to debate and complete the item of business.

-Prepared Public Speaking:
